We went to a tulip festival in nearby Wamego a few weeks ago to get out of the house. I think at that point it seemed like spring was on its way even though it snowed a week later (the first day of May!)
Wamego is a little town with a cute downtown area...and lots of Wizard of Oz kitschy stuff. We were hungry and didn't want to stand in a long carnival food line, so we headed over to Toto's Tacoz. We had to stand in line anyway there, but it was fun to look around and find the little Toto's hiding in the decor :)
We wandered around the festival for a while, which because of the weather, didn't really have many tulips :) But I'm okay with wishful thinking!
