Fruits and Veggies

At the market, the vendors will cut off pieces of fruit for you to try, which we took advantage off. There were lots of new things we got to try, as well as some fruits imported from other countries that we enjoyed as well.

This is a maracuja...it's got this slimy flesh and seeds, and apparently you eat both...that was kinda weird for me, but the pulp did taste good!
If you look at the prices, you'll notice the one above is $25 reals a kilo...which translates into "really expensive." We were shocked...we even found one fruit that was $99 reals a kilo! That will hurt the pocketbook!

We bought a couple of fruits, including Todd's very favorite, the mango! He is cutting them up as we speak (after cleaning them REAL good and cutting off the skin...we don't want any bacterial infections!)
